The major complication rate was 10%, but there were no technical complications. The patients had varying pathological stages, and most received adjuvant treatments. <br /><br />The three-year overall survival and disease-free survival rates were 55.2% and 37.9% respectively. The researchers did not find a significant difference in survival between patients with N1 lymph node infiltration versus primary lung cancer infiltration. However, they did identify pathologic N2 occult lymph node metastases and lymphovascular invasion as negative prognostic factors for recurrence. <br /><br />Based on these findings, the researchers concluded that lobectomy with PA reconstruction is a safe and effective treatment for lung cancer, even in cases of N1 infiltration. The study highlights the importance of considering PA reconstruction as a viable option for patients with both primary lung cancer and N1 infiltration.
