Pdf Summary
The document is from a study that aimed to investigate the incidence and risk factors of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in Chinese lung cancer patients. The study analyzed data from 985 eligible lung cancer patients and found an incidence rate of 4.5% for VTE in this population.

The study identified several risk factors for VTE in lung cancer patients through univariate and multivariate analysis. Risk factors included being overweight, having blood type AB, having certain driver gene mutations, receiving anti-angiogenic treatment, and having leukocytosis. Other factors such as stage IV cancer, small cell lung cancer, liver metastasis, bone metastasis, poor performance status (PS), serous effusion, leukocytosis, hyponatremia, and hypoalbuminemia were also found to be associated with an increased risk of VTE.

The study also conducted an overall survival analysis and found no difference in survival between patients with VTE and those without.

In conclusion, the study identified various risk factors for VTE in Chinese lung cancer patients, including overweight, blood type AB, specific driver gene mutations, anti-angiogenic treatment, and leukocytosis. These findings contribute to a better understanding of VTE incidence and risk factors in lung cancer patients and may help in developing strategies to prevent and manage VTE in this population.
