Pdf Summary
This study investigated the expression profile of circular RNA (circRNA) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and its potential as biomarkers for diagnosis. 14 pairs of postoperative LUAD specimens were analyzed using second-generation sequencing, resulting in the identification of 18 dysregulated circRNAs in the LUAD tissues. Among these, four circRNAs showed upregulation and 14 circRNAs showed downregulation. Further analysis suggested that hsa_circ_0120106, has_circ_0007342, has_circ_0005937, and circRNA_0000826 could be potential biomarkers for the diagnosis of LUAD. Additionally, the study revealed interactions between the dysregulated circRNAs and several cancer-related miRNAs, and key putative pathways in LUAD were identified, including cell cycle phases transition, p53 signaling pathway, and AMPK signaling pathway. These findings suggest a correlation between abnormal circRNA expression and LUAD, highlighting the potential of circRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers for LUAD.
