Two of the patients with lung cancer died, with an average survival time of 2 years.<br /><br />Based on these findings, the study concludes that lung cancer in CPFE syndrome represents a specific entity with a poor prognosis. It suggests that CPFE may be an independent risk factor for lung cancer. However, the study acknowledges that further research is necessary to validate these findings, as the number of patients in this study was small.<br /><br />In summary, this study highlights the relationship between CPFE syndrome and lung cancer, suggesting that patients with CPFE have a higher risk of developing lung cancer. The study calls for further research to confirm these findings and understand the underlying mechanisms.
