Pdf Summary
This study aimed to validate the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) histologic grading system for invasive lung adenocarcinoma in patients at a small-volume center. The study included 108 cases of curative intended resection for invasive adenocarcinoma with predominant subtypes (lep, aci, pap, sol). The patients were divided into two groups and three grades based on the IASLC grading system. The median follow-up period was 48.2 months and the mean age was 64.6 years.

The study found that the IASLC grading system showed the same prognostic significance as the study's results. This suggests that the IASLC grading system can be a promising tool for physicians to make postoperative decisions. Further analysis using the Kaplan-Meier method and timeROC (5 years) was performed to assess disease-free survival.

In conclusion, this study validated the IASLC histologic grading system for invasive adenocarcinoma of the lung in a small-volume center. The results showed the system's prognostic significance and support its potential use as a tool for postoperative decision-making by physicians.
