It mentions that active smoking burden ranged from 10-80% in the countries surveyed, and smoking cessation programs were mostly reported as partially available.<br /><br />The availability of CT scanners capable of performing good quality LDCT was also discussed, with most responses being descriptive and not allowing for systematic evaluation.<br /><br />In conclusion, the report emphasizes the need for a systematic evaluation of LCS in LMICs, taking into account the specific challenges and risks in each country. The IASLC Early Detection & Screening Committee Diagnostics Working Group plans to focus on these issues and provide future guidance and implementation strategies.<br /><br />Overall, this report provides valuable insights into the status and challenges of LCS in LMICs and offers recommendations for improving the implementation of screening programs in these countries.
