Pdf Summary
The study "The Construction and Application of a Novel Precise Health Management Model for Lung Nodule Population" addresses the need for improved management of pulmonary nodules, a critical aspect in reducing lung cancer mortality. Lung cancer accounts for 18% of all cancer deaths, and early detection is key to improving outcomes. However, increased detection rates of pulmonary nodules have been accompanied by a rise in false positives, making precise management essential.

The research aimed to create a novel health management model for patients with pulmonary nodules, focusing on personalized care to enhance follow-up efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and improve patient quality of life. The study involved 2,816 patients undergoing early lung cancer screening at a hospital in Qingdao University. Participants were divided into an intervention group, which used the new management protocol, and a control group, using traditional methods.

Results demonstrated the efficacy of the new model, showing lower follow-up loss rates (28.5% in the intervention group vs. 32.5% in the control group) and higher rates of timely visits (60.3% vs. 53.0%). More patients in the intervention group opted for surgeries at the hospital (93.9% vs. 82.6%), with a significant reduction in postoperative benign lesions (3.0% vs. 13.0%). Anxiety prevalence was lower in the intervention group (15.0% vs. 21.1%), and patient satisfaction was higher (83.8% vs. 76.2%). The intervention also reduced radiation exposure (4.6113.909 mSv vs. 5.6315.345 mSv).

Despite manual processes leading to high labor costs, future research aims to integrate AI tools like open-source language models and 'Chain of Thought' reasoning to streamline the follow-up of pulmonary nodules, improving efficiency and accuracy.
