Secondary outcomes included progression-free survival (PFS) and safety. <br /><br />The patient cohort included 3 individuals with stage IIB, 5 with stage IIIA, and 3 with stage IIIB cancer. A remarkable 63.6% achieved pCR, while 72.7% showed a major pathological response. During the median follow-up period of 12 months, PFS outcomes were significant, with PFS rates of 100% at 12 months and 75% at 18 months. However, one patient experienced disease progression nine months post-surgery.<br /><br />Safety analyses revealed that during neoadjuvant therapy, 54.5% encountered grade 3 or higher adverse events, while 36.3% faced grade 1-2 immune-related adverse effects.<br /><br />The study concludes that incorporating surgery after neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy can improve pCR and PFS in patients with Stage IIB-IIIB SCLC and that adverse events are manageable. These findings suggest that this combined approach could be a viable treatment strategy for patients with advanced SCLC.
