Detect lung cancer earlier by increasing understanding and availability of lung cancer screening programs and diagnostic technologies.<br />3. Improve access to timely, best-in-class care by accelerating access to advanced treatments and clinical trials to optimize patient outcomes.<br />4. Accelerate lung cancer research to support the development of innovative treatments and diagnostic tools.<br /><br />A key cross-cutting enabler involves addressing stigma—a significant social barrier linked to the association between smoking and lung cancer—even as smoking rates decline.<br /><br />Recognizing the complexity of lung cancer, the Action Plan emphasizes partnerships among organizations, patient groups, and individuals to achieve its vision collaboratively. The roadmap aims to significantly reduce lung cancer mortality by assembling broad-based partnerships and ensuring meaningful progress for all affected by lung cancer over the next decade.
