This online course is adapted from the 1-day CT Screening Symposium featured at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer, September 7, 2024. The course is focused on lung cancer screening technologies and best practices, including topics relevant to an international audience. Faculty will provide current data to highlight successes and address knowledge gaps. As a result of the symposium, the participant will be able to apply current knowledge to advance lung cancer screening relevant to their health care setting.

Radiologists, oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologic technologists, researchers in the field of lung cancer, healthcare administrators, healthcare policy makers, and industry representatives involved in CT imaging and lung cancer diagnostics.
Upon completion of this activity, the participants should be able to:
  • Evaluate the global challenges in lung cancer screening program implementation with updates on progress in different health settings. 
  • Review factors that may influence integration of mobile CT screening and its potential role in a lung cancer screening program. 
  • Discuss disparities in access to lung cancer screening and explain strategies for promoting equity in program implementation. 
  • Describe emerging technologies in lung cancer screening, enabling attendees to anticipate and adapt to future advancements in the field.
