Upon completion of this activity, the participants should be able to:
  • Recognize and summarize the types of mesothelioma and their variants with a focus on epithelioid mesothelioma.
  • Define which epithelioid features have prognostic significance.
  • Describe and explain the grading of mesothelioma and its prognostic role.
  • Develop an appropriate immunohistochemical algorithm for the diagnosis of mesothelioma and its subtypes.
  • Devise a management strategy for ‘’ in situ mesothelioma diagnosis’’.
  • Identify In which patients molecular testing should be recommended to detect mutation.
  • Underline the optimal samples required to include patients in clinical trials.
