This cancer pain educational bundle covers a wide range of pain management topics to help clinicians that manage patients with cancer. The bundle has three different accredited CME activities and a patient toolkit.

This certified CE/CME activity is designed for specialty physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who treat cancer patients.

Upon, completion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

• Illustrate how to effectively assess and screen cancer patients that require pain management.
• Outline pharmacological options and alternate therapies for treating cancer pain.
• Apply proper patient communication strategies.
• Explain opiate dosing, titration, and adverse effects regarding the pain management options.
• Discuss the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) cancer pain management guidelines.
• Determine when to re-evaluate the need for long-term pain management.
• Formulate a plan to ween cancer patients from various pain management strategies when appropriate
