Using Evolve Medical Education's KOL Knockout^TM format, this virtual symposium focuses on the challenges of managing pain in patients with cancer. Key opinion leaders (KOLs) are challenged by the host to diagnose and manage patient scenarios with varying levels of difficulty. After each case presentation, learners vote for the KOL they think answered best, and the moderator declares a match winner at the conclusion. There will be learning, laughter, and only one KOL left standing! *Voting took place during the live symposium.

• Illustrate how to effectively assess and screen cancer patients who require pain management
• Determine when to re-evaluate the need for long-term pain management
• Outline pharmacological options and alternate therapies for treating cancer pain
• Apply proper patient communication strategies
• Formulate a plan to ween cancer patients from various pain management strategies when appropriate
• Explain opiate dosing, titration, and adverse effects regarding the pain management options
