EP07.02. Navigational Bronchoscopy: Driving to the Nodule Drives Your Patients to Earlier Stage - PDF(Abstract)

Robotic-assisted resection was performed on 101 NSCLC patients, with 85 patients undergoing MIDAS. The types of resections included lobectomy, segmentectomy, and sublobar resection. The surgical staging results are presented in Table 1, and no mortality was reported.<br /><br />The conclusion of the study is that early intervention and diagnosis are crucial for improving long-term outcomes in NSCLC patients. The researchers emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, where patients are evaluated at the first identification of a new nodule, and robotic technology is utilized for diagnosis and therapy implementation. The majority of patients in this study were at stage I and II, and early intervention allowed for less invasive surgical procedures.<br /><br />Incorporating navigational bronchoscopy and minimally invasive surgery into the lung nodule algorithm can shift patients to early stages and optimize overall outcomes.
