This transition may contribute to the growth and progression of SCLC.<br /><br />The findings of this study provide clinical evidence of the impact of alterations in molecular subtypes on the outcomes of SCLC patients. The shift to NEUROD1-high expression in surviving tumor cells after initial treatment may be linked to poor outcomes after combined modality treatment.<br /><br />In conclusion, this case study highlights the dynamic nature of molecular subtypes in relapsed SCLC and their impact on treatment outcomes. Understanding these molecular changes may help develop more effective therapeutic strategies for patients with relapsed SCLC.
