P1.27. Two- and Three-dimensional Radiomic Measurements for Clinical Stage IA Lung Adenocarcinoma: Less is More - PDF(Abstract)

The performance of CTR and the radiomics models were tested using receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC).<br /><br />A total of 818 patients from one hospital and 474 patients from another hospital were enrolled in the study. CTR and a radiomic score were identified as independent factors for predicting pathological invasiveness. The performance of CTR for 2D and 3D imaging was comparable, with similar area under curves (AUC). Patients in the primary cohort showed significant reference-free survival and overall survival. The radiomics models for both 2D and 3D imaging showed good performance and discrimination in the primary and independent cohorts. However, the 2D-related measurement was found to be more suitable for clinical use.<br /><br />In conclusion, this study found that both CTR and radiomics models, particularly using 2D imaging, were effective in predicting invasiveness in early-stage lung adenocarcinoma. The findings suggest that the 2D measurement may be more suitable for clinical applications. This research contributes to the field of screening and early detection of lung cancer, providing insights into innovative technology and techniques for assessing early-stage NSCLC.
